Bell-Tone Acoustic Archtop Guitar 1930's

Bell-Tone Acoustic Archtop Guitar 1930's

Excellent condition.

This is a very rare round-hole archtop guitar from the 1930's or thereabouts. It is very difficult to date guitars like this exactly, because of the lack of documentation and records, but this guitar is certainly from that general period. It is very good playable condition, having had a recent neck reset. It is all-original, apart from the tuners, which have been replaced with modern ones. The originals will be supplied with the guitar, but would need work to restore them to useable condition.

The headstock and fretboard are bound, and the fretboard appears to be ebony. Finish is an attractive sunburst, and is all original and in very good condition for the age of the instrument. No serious dings or dents, although it does, of course have minor marks, but the finish is in remarkable condition for its age. The adjustable bridge is original, and because it is adjustable, you set the action as high or low as you like. There are no cracks, except an insignificant one going from the soundhole to the fretboard area. This has been left untouched.

This guitar is LOUD, and is ideal for Carter Family leads, as well as other styles. It is great in Country and Bluegrass jams - if you want to compete with the banjos, this is the one!

Hard case is included - in good condition, old, but not as old as the guitar.
